This tour requires a 4-5 hour hike in one day, so expect a little challenge. In addition to enjoying the 180 degree views of the mountains and serene nature of Nepal, you will also have a chance to visit Hindu and Buddhist temples along the way and see the culture.

  Place Itinerary

Travel from Kathmandu to Changu Narayan then to Nagarkot

Our guide will pick you up from a pre-designated location in Kathmandu and drive you to Changu Narayan Temple, a World Heritage Site. From there, you will start hiking towards Nagarkot Observatory (for about 4 hours). The first half of the hike will be through small quaint villages and the second half of the hike will open up to mountain vistas. As the evening approaches you will reach Nagarkot Observation tower and enjoy the evening colors reflecting off the mountains in the distance.

Travel from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel

Early in the morning, you can appreciate the sunrise on the mountains from your Hotel. After Breakfast, you will start the hike with your guide heading towards Dhulikhel (about 5 hours) as you enjoy seeing local people and their villages along the way.

Overnight: Dhulikhel | Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Travel from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha then Return to Kathmandu

Early in the morning, you can appreciate the sunrise on the mountains. After Breakfast, you will start the hike with your guide heading towards Namo Buddha Temple (About 4 hours). You can experience the beautiful natural scenery of Nepal, while also seeing the rural villages you pass along the way. When you arrive at Namo Buddha Temple, you will learn more about the Tiger Legend that is said to have taken place here. After you have spent some time enjoying the Temple, the private car will pick you up from there and head back to Kathmandu. The tour ends when you are dropped off at your desired location in Kathmandu.

Even though the main activity is hiking in the tour, the lodging is 3 start hotels, so you can still enjoy some comforts without concern. ●The Legendary & Sacred Changu Narayan: The Oldest Hindu Temple in Nepal

Celebrated as the oldest temple amongst all the World Heritage Site, Changu Narayan Temple is said to have been established by the Licchavi Dynasty near year 323. It was damaged in the 2015 Earthquake with various renovations being made slowly. You can see wonderful examples of the Newari architectural techniques and how they are working to preserve that for future generations.
One the last day, visit the Namo Buddha where Buddhist monastery buildings and stupas stand at the top of the hill. It is said that 6,000 years ago, in a previous incarnation of Buddha as a prince, gave his body to feed a hungry tigress and save her cubs lives. Gautama Buddha visited this site later, and revealed the compassionate deeds of the Prince. The current monastery, the stupas were built later, reflecting the reverence that both Hindu and Buddhists have towards this site.
