Travel from Kathmandu to Chitwan

your guide will meet you for pickup in Kathmandu. [Note 1]. Ride in your own comfortable private vehicle to Chitwan by private car (around 5 hours). When you reach Chitwan, the following line up of activities will be scheduled with the help of your Resort staff. In your 3 days, 2 night program, the following activities can be covered.

●Elephant Safari(A chance to see wild animals, like Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Langur and One horned Rhinoceroses)
●Canoe Ride on Rapti River (A chance to see the bird species and crocodiles)
●Visit Tharu village(Explore the life style of Tharu tribe in the plain lands of Terai)
●Elephant bathing experience
●Crocodile Breeding Center
●Dance of Tharu(A culture show)
●Bird watching, Nature Walking

●Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park, Nepal's premier wildlife destination

Chitwan National Park, located in the Terai Plains of central Nepal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of grasslands and forests extending 80km from east to west and 23km from north to south, it is home to a great array of mammals, birds, and colorful butterflies. There are more than 43 species of mammals including the Royal Bengal Tiger, One Horned Rhinoceros, Spotted Deer, Leopards, Grey Langur, and more. With more than 450 bird species recorded inside the park, Chitwan is a natural hub for the bird lovers. Some of the notable mammals of the 43 species that might be seen in the area are the Bengal Tiger, Indian Rhinoceros (One-horned Rhinoceros), Spotted Deer, Indian Leopard, and Grey Langur with its beautiful long tail.
The hotel naturalist will be able to tell you more about the importance of a wide range of wildlife species, accessibility, services available during your stay and significance of the Tharu culture.  The Resort manages all the scheduling of the various activities available to you. Please be aware that the order of the activities may change.
 The hotel of your choice can be booked, but prices may vary.
 The road conditions and traffic is beyond our control, and there may be delays in your arrival to Chitwan. Your driver will do his best to get you there in time but please understand that extensive delays may cause you to not be able to do the all activities listed.
 Typically, the Elephant Safari is scheduled with 4 people to an Elephant. If you prefer to book a private safari with you or your group only, that is possible for an additional cost.
 Shared Jeep Safari tours going deeper into the Park for wildlife watching or birdwatching as well.
 Elephant safari and Canoe Ride schedules are subject to change because they are managed by the Community Forest on the boarder of the National Park.
 Bird watching or photography only tours can be arranged with specialists.
 For family groups or for groups of 3 people or more, the costs will differ, so please inform us of your specific group's details and we will provide an estimate based on the latest price charts.
